Getting Your Library Card is Easier than Ever!
The Malverne Public Library issues library cards to the residents of the Incorporated Village of , Malverne Park and North Lynbrook and expire every three years. We also issue Courtesy Cards for those who are employed or own a business within the Village and expire annually. Replacement cards are $1.00
Library cards in good standing (without overdue items) may be used at any public library in Nassau County, but certain limitations may apply for special collections and services, depending on the lending library.

In Person
Bring one picture ID (driver’s license, NY State non-driver ID) to the library during business hours. Fill out the Library Card Application and your card will be ready within 10-15 minutes.
Online
1. Print and fill out our Library Card Application and scan (if requesting new card).
New card – Email application along with 1 proof of residency and send to [email protected] For Courtesy Cards email proof of employment or business ownership within the Village.
Renewal – One piece of proof with your address such as a license, NY ID, insurance or utility bill (must be within the last 3 months). For Courtesy Cards email proof of employment or business ownership within the Village.
2. The library will create your card, email you the barcode (so you can start reading ebooks/emagazines right away!) Let us know if you prefer to pick up card at the library (front desk or lobby service) or we could mail your card to the address on file.
Applications are only processed during our open business hours. Please allow 24 hours (most will be faster).
